The Friday panel on Mythology for Fictional WorldsHello Everyone,
If you've found yourself here, you are probably at Arisia, the first Boston spec-fic con of the year. Came up on me so fast, I kind of forget about it until the week before. My wife was very understanding because she's the best thing since coconut rum. So, here I am and I moderated a panel on what it says in the title. It was a blast. Think I did very well, considering I sat down at the table twenty minutes after getting off the train. My fellow panelists Andrea Hairston, Chris Lester, Elizabeth Birdsall, and Ian Randal Strock dove into this massive topic as if born to it. We were insightful, helpful, nuanced, and powerful! ALL HAIL THE MODERATOR KING UNDER THE MOUNTAIN! You had to be there, it was a thing. Ian and Andrea danced. Anyway, about that link. If you click on it, it will take you to my transcribed notes of the panel. During the panel you could make comments, but I've changed the link to view only. The internet is dirty. Still, there's four pages of material to sift through. In the next week or so, I will go back and make some edits, maybe add some things. The other panelists might do it as well, but no pressure. If something is misspelled, I don't mind being corrected, just don't be a testicle about it. If you have any more comments or questions, you can find me on social media. The links are somewhere on my website. Or go ahead and join the mailing list or reach out via email if you want to be a new fan. Thank you and be kind to one another. Please, by my book 😀, some people say it's amazing.
